#1 How much of a difference did it make signing Patrick Marleau after losing four straight and Marleau coming in to score two goals to San Jose with a one-goal win 5-4?

#2  How much prep did Marleau need? He wasn’t with a team and he last played with the Carolina Hurricanes and that was only for a week after the release by the Toronto Maple Leafs.

#3 Marleau was excited to be back in San Jose, but his teammates shared that same excitement, and after going 0-4, they didn’t have pressing feelings and just got by Chicago 5-4.

#4 The Sharks’ Brent Burns scored his 200th career goal. After all that Burns went through — the hard work, the goals and play system of the Sharks — it was a goal well-earned.

#5 The Sharks return this Sunday to host the Calgary Flames. It will the be Sharks’ first chance to get their first home win after losing their home opener on Friday, October 4th.
