The Aces are favored to win the WNBA Championship and they finally showed why.

Las Vegas blew out the New York Liberty 100-65 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center.

“Our starters showed what they can do,” said head coach Bill Laimbeer.  “I got lots of people some playing time and got some confidence boosting going on right now with our ball club.”

Four Aces scored in double digits led by guard Kelsey Plum with 19 points.  Kayla McBride scored 18 and A’ja Wilson added 14.

“We really kind of focused on what we need to get done,” said Wilson.  “We brought a lot more energy and a different attitude.”

Liz Cambage scored in double digits for her fifth straight game.

“Liz set the tone for us in the first few minutes of the game,” said Laimbeer of Cambage.  “Just said give me the ball, I’m putting it in the basket, no one can guard me.”

“Once we got our chemistry going, we are unstoppable.  No one can match that,” said Cambage.  “It’s all about bringing the energy from the get go and continuing to play like that.”

With the win, the Aces improved to 3-3 on the season and will next travel to Minnesota to face the Lynx on Sunday.
