Alamo Bowl/Stanford Cardinal Football Podcast with Matt Harrington:

The Cardinal had a rough start after their trip in Australia earlier this season and then they had to struggle with San Diego State so for them to be at the point of where they’re at now it’s pretty impressive. The Cardinal are happy where their at compared to earlier this season and happy to be playing in the bowl game. The Cardinal are going to be playing a very prominent opponent the TCU Horned Frogs for the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio.

There was the possibility for Stanford to play in some lower bowl game so Stanford wound up with a pretty good bowl game to play in all things considered having not been the winner of the Pac 12 Championship and not getting by USC. Not getting the Fiesta Bowl which would have been the Rose Bowl in the past. This year because it’s the National Championship it’s the Fiesta Bowl.
