1 The A’s announced today their move to Laney College site, a 35,000 seat stadium with a nine minute walk to BART

2 The A’s intend to buy or lease the land at Laney College and A’s team president David Kaval said the land “represents the best opportunity” to keep the A’s in Oakland the last pro team “rooted in Oakland”

3 The had to convince the Peralta Board of Trustees in order to move to Laney by promising to develop commercial space and housing on an eight acre space nearby the college

4 The Oakland Coliseum will still have it’s uses it will be used for urban baseball development for the communities and also for the high schools and colleges it’s a program developed with MLB involved
