The Oakland A’s and Kansas City Royals played a very entertaining game on Wednesday afternoon at the Oakland Coliseum that wound up going to the Royals 7-6. Then there was also the game on Tuesday night that the Royals ended up scoring five runs in the top of the eighth inning then the A’s answered right back six runs in the bottom of the eighth and won a two run bout 10-8 something that hasn’t been done in awhile.
The Royals are playing for a wild card spot they’re a half game back of the LA Angels for the second wild card slot. It was so important for them to win yesterday because the Angels beat the Nationals and they just stayed a game back. It was a very entertaining game even though the A’s lost to the Royals by a run. The Royals got home run help from Lorenzo Cain who belted his 13th of the season off A’s starter Paul Blackburn in the fourth inning. The A’s in the losing cause got another homer from Marcus Semien for his fifth of the season in the third off Royals starter Danny Duffy and the A’s Matt Chapman went deep in the eighth for his ninth off Royals reliever Brandon Maurer.
