The Washington Capitals who come to SAP Center in San Jose have only won twice in the last 20 years of playing in San Jose. Caps Goaltender Braden Holtby won the Vezina Trophy for best goaltender last season and he’s on his way to another one he has a 1.98 goals against average. The Sharks will be up against a top notch goalie on Thursday night coming off a loss to Minnesota on Sunday and a one goal win over the Winnipeg Jets on Monday.
The Cap on the other hand just don’t seem like they’re able to play on SAP ice they’ve floundered around and get beat pretty badly but at home they have a 20-7-4 record. Their goal differential they scored 212 goals and allowed 139 for a plus three goal differential which by far the best in the NHL.
