It was an honor for the Chicago Cubs who were invited to the White House to meet President Obama, it’s a little unusual this time of year. Usually the club that wins the World Series will go up will visit the office of the president during the season during an off day in Washington or Baltimore or close by. The reason for the off season visit was that Chicago is Obama’s hometown and he wanted a chance to honor the team before leaving office on Friday morning.

What better than having the hometown Chicago Cubs visit the president who is from the Chicago area. All be it Obama is a White Sox fan but the Cubbies aren’t holding that against him. The Cubs who have been in the World Series since 1945 and they haven’t won a World Series since 1908. A drought of 108 years for the Cubs. The Cubs were lovable losers and now their America’s team.
