That’s Amaury’s Podcast, News, and Commentary: Does Bill King’s induction open invitation to NBA and NFL Halls as well?

Former Oakland A’s play by play announcer Bill King should have been inducted into the MLB Baseball Hall of Fame a long time ago when he was alive he was already qualified but thank God he’s there but unfortunately he’s not around to enjoy it but he’s looking from heaven smiling on us. Bill deserves it a good friend of mind tells me all the time few people in life get what they deserve. Well this morning Bill King got what he deserved he exalted into the Hall of Fame the winner of the 2016 Ford C Frick Award.

King was truly a broadcaster’s broadcaster he deserves to be there and we should be elated to have been able to have listened to him and have had him here in the Bay Area. It would not hurt having his entrance into the Baseball Hall of Fame get some attention from the NBA or the NFL Hall of Fames. It’s just a matter of time that King will catch on and have a shot at being honored there as well. I wrote a Spanish column years ago from the Sun Reporter a minority paper and I framed it for Bill and gave it to him personally I wrote that Bill King was the best announcer that I’ve ever heard and I remember saying to him that I can lay in my bed and turn the TV off and listen to you and it was better than watching the game on TV.

Rest in Peace Bill you were the best congratulations on your honor today to the Ford C Frick Award at last.
