The Pittsburgh Penguins (15-7-3) Phil Kessel had a hot hand scoring twice for Pittsburgh. Kessel had one of four goals the Pens scored in the third period in a 5-3 win over the Detroit Red Wings

19 year Ivan Provorov scored two goals and stopped another as the Philadelphia Flyers took a two goal win past the Chicago Blackhawks. Provorov scored 31 seconds apart from his other goal early in the second period.
