Cleveland is returning to the World Series for the first time since 1995 they haven’t won a series since 1948. There will be something also happening outside of Progressive Field Native Americans planned to protest the Indians name and logo of Chief Wahoo. The Indigenous Canadian Activists took Cleveland to court when the team was playing in Toronto during the Division Series and asked a Toronto Court to have Cleveland withdraw it’s name and stop using the mascot Wahoo. The injunction was denied, the Native American activists planned to do a similar action in a Cleveland court during the World Series.

The Chicago Cubs long wait of 71 years is over that was the last time the Cubs were in the World Series in 1945. World War II just ended and Harry Truman was president. The price of a ticket to see the Cubs in the 45 World Series was $1.25 to sit in the bleachers for the best seat in the house that year $7.50. The cost of a ticket for the 1908 World Series the series that the Cubs won against the Detroit Tigers was $1.50 to sit in the grand stand the best seat in the house at the time.
