Virginia Tech fans who made a banner aimed at this week’s opponent the University of Miami that read “Bury the U next to Jose Fernandez RIP” were scrutinized on social media and Virginia Tech administrators are investigating who was responsible for making the banner. Fernandez the former Miami Marlins pitcher who died in a boat accident in September. Virginia Tech defeated U Miami on Thursday 37-16.

A blocked field goal helped Penn State defeat number two Ohio State 24-21 Saturday the loose ball was picked up by Penn State’s cornerback Grant Haley for 60 yards for a touchdown return and the game winning score.

Old Dominion and Western Kentucky University got into a tete’ neither school is exactly rolling in the AP polling but they got into an old fashion brawl that emptied both benches in the third quarter. WKU held a huge lead and won the game eventually 52-24. The Hilltoppers Jamshyer NcUmber was ejected for fighting.
