AP file photo: Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly has been frustrated with his team’s play and with Stanford conditioning coach David Grimes, as his expression says it all in this Sep 24th photo as the Fighting Irish were playing the Duke Blue Devils which Kelly and the Irish lost
On the Stanford Cardinal podcast with Jerry:
The Cardinal need to keep things going to right the ship coming off their victory 17-10 against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. For the Irish there are a lot of complaints coming out of South Bend regarding their head coach Brian Kelly as the Irish fall to 2-5. Kelly also got into a exchange of words with Stanford conditioning coach David Grimes after both teams were meeting on the field after the game on Saturday. Grimes was Notre Dame’s conditioning coach and Kelly shoved Grimes during a game at the time Grimes was coaching at Notre Dame. Fast forward to last Saturday Grimes had said “bye bye” to Kelly while walking by after the game and the two had an exchange of words.
Both Grimes and Kelly had to be separated during the shoving spat back when Grimes was at Notre Dame. Kelly has been putting the blame for the team’s loses on other people other than himself and he’s been one of the most talked about troubled coaches in the NCAA.
Meanwhile the Cardinal prepare for the Colorado Buffaloes for this Saturday at Stanford Stadium.
