That’s Amaury’s Podcast, News and Commentary: Wild Card games are just that Wild; managers won’t admit it but they hate the one game format

On the podcast with Amaury:

The Wild Card is driving some managers in baseball crazy. The idea of playing a whole 162 game season and then you get to the wild card and play one game and your entire season could be over. The Baltimore Orioles lost to the Toronto Blue Jays in the AL Wild Card in extra innings and that was their season. It had to be a bummer not only for Orioles manager Buck Showalter but also you have 25 disappointed players who got that far and lost.

The San Francisco Giants tee it off against the New York Mets Wednesday night with the Giants starting Madison Bumgarner and for the New York Mets Noah Snydergard. This is a one and done. The last time the Giants were in this position was in 2014 and they had a one game playoff against the Pittsburgh Pirates and won and you know the rest of the story they went all the way.

Plus Amaury gives you his take on the loss of the San Francisco 49er NaVarro Bowman and the Raiders three game road win streak
