Oakland A’s podcast with Jerry Feitelberg: A’s can’t escape this loss 10-7 to Halos to open series at Coliseum

On the A’s podcast with Jerry unlike the A’s victory on Sunday against the Boston Red Sox after nearly getting no hit after eight innings by Sox pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez as the A’s Khris Davis hit a doubled that scored Danny Valencia in for the game winner. Then came Monday’s labor day matinee the A’s couldn’t get past the Los Angeles Angels on Monday in a 10-7 loss. The win by the A’s on Sunday shows you how whacky baseball is. Here’s a team that for the first eight innings couldn’t buy a hit and they get one hit in the eighth inning and the gamer in the ninth inning.

Valencia walked and Davis connects for the double and the Red Sox left fielder Brock Holt made an error on the play and the A’s scored the winning run on just two hits 1-0. On the positive side and it was the only bright note in the whole week because the A’s got swept in Houston in three games then they came home and they were pounded by the Red Sox in the first two games of the series in double digits. So winning Sunday after nearly getting no hit was at least one positive on this current homestand.
