On the podcast with Daniel, Cleveland pitcher Corey Kluber has a good chance at winning his second Cy Young Award. The last one he won was in 2014. Kluber has gone 7-1 since June 21st can he keep it up? We’ll have to see for the rest of this month and September. Former New Met stars Darryl Strawberry and Dwight Gooden were scheduled to appear at an interview on Thursday and when Strawberry was the only one that showed up he got concerned for his fellow teammate and friend. It turned out that Doc phoned and said he was alright and arrived later than expected.

Current Met Yoenis Cespedes who came off the DL two days before Saturday made up for lost time and stepped into a couple of pitches while his teammate pitcher Bartolo Colon had a 2-0 lead before leaving. Cespedes yanked a shot for a home run in the third and connected with a deep drive that almost went to the back of the bleachers in the seventh in the Mets 9-5 win over the San Francisco Giants.
