Oakland A’s podcast with Jerry Feitelberg: With a number of A’s pitchers injured guys up from minors have to prove they can pitch in the big leagues

On the podcast with Jerry, Oakland A’s starter Zach Neal on Sunday pitching against the Seattle Mariners wasn’t pitching like he was before he gave up all five runs all earned, eight hits in 5.1 innings, he threw 74 pitches 45 for strikes, and took the loss he is now 2-2. So the A’s have some pitchers that are showing they can’t pitch in the Major Leagues not consistently. They have some good outings and not so good outings.

Once they get going and they can be more consistent it should be interesting going forward in the future for the A’s while they have to battle through adversity with injuries to the pitching staff the guys who are here now like Ross Detwiler that was picked off the scrap heap and Andrew Treggs and Neal they have to show that they can pitch to belong in the big leagues.
