On the MLB podcast with Daniel the Oakland A’s have lost three straight and Saturday’s game another struggle of the East Bay club as the Seattle Mariners came in and paid them a visit. The M’s Robinson Cano and Nelson Cruz both hit home runs off A’s starter Kendall Graveman at the Oakland Coliseum in a close tough loss 4-3. A’s catcher Stephen Vogt said that Graveman’s pitches were decent but it seemed that Cano and Cruz were just sitting on them and got them for home runs.
San Francisco Giants pitcher Madison Bumgarner pitched seven innings, gave up no runs, three hits, walked eight and struck out eight and picked up his first win since July 10th for a 6-2 win over the Baltimore Orioles. Mad Bum like former Giant pitcher Gaylord Perry from North Carolina Perry was honored before Saturday’s game as the team unveiled Perry’s statue outside AT&T Park on Second Street.
