On the MLB podcast with Tony Renteia the San Francisco Giants are hoping to get things turned around after losing 14 out of their last 18 games. The Giants picked up a win on Thursday in a one run come back win against the Philadelphia Phillies 3-2 when Denard Span hit a walk off home run. Also getting Matt Moore a starter from Tampa Bay and reliever Will Smith from the Milwaukee Brewers.

The Oakland A’s have some quality infielders that have been overworked and there are plenty of good shortstops out there and Mark Semien has committed errors and Yonder Alonso committed an error on Thursday but made up for it by getting two hits, run, and RBzI in a close ten inning one run game. The A’s are fighting to get out of the AL West cellar they’re just a game behind the Angels. The A’s are back home after their ten game road trip and will open up against the Cubs at the Coliseum on Friday night.
