MLB Podcast with Tony Renteria: Could this be the start of the fire sale at the Padres as they complete seven man deal

On the podcast with Tony, The San Diego Padres traded Andrew Cashner and Colin Rea to the Florida Marlins. The Fish gave up two prospects, two right handed pitchers Jarred Cosart and Carter Capps. Earlier on Friday the Padres sent pitcher Fernando Rodney to the Marlins in part of the seven man deal between the teams.

The Chicago White Sox Chris Sale is rumored to be shopped around. Sale earlier this season had it out with the White Sox team vice president Ken Williams when teammate Adam LeRoche was not allowed to bring in his son on the field or in the clubhouse. That set off alarm bells especially after LeRoche left the team. Sale was not pleased that the White Sox were promoting a 1976 retro day brining back their old uniforms that had collars and shorts that were once worn by players in the 1800s. Sale cut all the uniforms up and he was suspended for the vandalism. It’s yet to be determined how seriously the Sox are about sending Sale packing.
