On the MLB Podcast with Daniel Dullum the Seattle Mariners former outfielder Ken Griffey and former New York Met Mike Piazza have been inducted into MLB’s Hall of Fame. Both players with a first ballot entry on Sunday at Cooperstown.
The Kansas City Royals are on the way to the White House and are about to be congratulated by President Obama but there are two players who are sore about not being able to go former Royals Jonny Gomes and San Francisco Giants pitcher Johnny Cueto. The Royals said that only current Royals will be invited and not former Royal players. Cueto an Gomes both played on the Royals championship team last season.
Chicago White Sox pitcher Chris Sale could be sent packing. Sale who was suspended by the team for insubordination and damage to team property. Sale had torn up White Sox throw back uniforms from the 1976 season and got apparently in an argument with team management on Saturday night. Sale received a five day suspension and a $12,700 fine and he will lose $250,000 from being suspended.
