On the MLB Podcast with Matt, the game between the Tampa Bay Rays and the Oakland A’s was a long game to say the least that went 13 innings. It was the shortest long game that I’ve ever been to in my life, the first nine innings was done in two hours flat. A’s starter Sean Manaea started the ball game nearly pitched the A’s into nine innings worth of shutout ball. Between the Rays and A’s no one hit the ball hard for the first nine innings.
The San Francisco Giants who are showing no signs of giving up played an extra inning game on Saturday night at Yankee Stadium. The Giants and Pin Stripes played to a 1-1 tie. The Giants who lost Friday night by one run 3-2 and have lost six straight games are itching to end that loss streak on Saturday.
