bigstory.ap.org file photo: Oakland A’s pitcher Sean Manaea was used as a reliever on Sunday he’ll get more looks as the A’s pitching staff is in need of healthy arms
On the Oakland A’s podcast with Charlie O, the All Star break was kind of good for the A’s the fact that they started off over last weekend and took two out three games from the Toronto Blue Jays. The Jays are one of the best teams in the AL East. The A’s could have taken three out of three and had a sweep they had a chance they had that game on Sunday tied up 3-3 in what was a truly bizarre game.
In the top of the ninth with the game tied the Blue Jays got a couple of runners on and whose the guy that does them in? Oh Yeah Josh Donaldson their All Star third baseman comes to the plate and hits a strong double out down the left field line scores two runs the A’s lose 5-3. The A’s took the opener of the three game series with the Houston Astros on Tuesday night 7-4 and can keep this run going with a win on Tuesday night.
