On That’s Amaury’s News and Commentary Podcast the San Francisco Giants flagship station KNBR employees staged a demonstration on Wednesday after they asked parent company Cumulus Media for a raise from the San Francisco minimum raise of $13 an hour to $17 an hour. Sources have said that Cumulus said that what the KNBR employees are receiving is sufficient.
The SAG-AFTRA union which represents KNBR employees begs to differ saying that living in San Francisco on $13 an hour is impossible with the cost of living in the City. The employees have not set a date on a walk out but have stated that if they do not get the cost of living raise they intend to walk out of the station. The source said that Cumulus would use replacement workers in the event the union staff walked off the job. There’s more on this story click below for the podcast.
