On the MLB podcast with Daniel, coverage of the 2016 All-Star game but first Daniel looks at some of baseball’s top headlines the Minnesota Twins Byron Buxton who tried to run down Texas Ranger Rougned Odor’s drive to center. Buxton took his eye off the ball and tried to gage where the wall was but too late he collided with the padding and went down on the warning track bruising his right knee. The ball while Buxton was on the run glanced off of his glove and Odor wound up with a triple.
The LA Angels pitcher Joe Smith whose showcasing before this month’s trade deadline on Saturday wanted to protect a one run lead the Halos had over the Baltimore Orioles but with runners at second and third went into is wind up and the ball got through his fingers and he stopped the wind up process causing Smith to balk. In doing so the Orioles wound up tying up the ball game.
