On the A’s podcast with Charlie O, before the last podcast we haven’t had too many positive things happen to the Oakland A’s but the A’s have had recent positive things happen to them. First of all the A’s have gone 5-2 since we talked the last time. We talked about when they went to LA to take on the Angels they had a four game series down there and we talked about the fact they needed to go 2-2 in that series.
Well the A’s went 3-4 and they realistically had a shot at sweeping that series they didn’t do it but they came very close and then they had the opener at the Bay Bridge series Monday night and the A’s took that first game 8-3 from San Francisco at AT&T. So that was a real positive. They also have now climbed out of the AL West cellar and are now three games back of the third place Seattle Mariners if the A’s can get hot and sweep the Giants in San Francisco and in Oakland they would have a shot at passing up the Mariners.
