On the Giants podcast with Morris, The Chicago Cubs are hearing the knocking of the Giants on their door as the Giants battle to be the best team in the National League. Also former Oakland A’s pitcher Jeff Samardjzija will start against his former teammates on Monday night to open the two game series at AT&T Park for the San Francisco Giants. He’s pitching better than when he was in Oakland and better than when he was with the White Sox. The Giants so far have got the best of Samardjzia and he hopes to have that continue on Monday night.

In previous games Giants pitcher Johnny Cueto has been lights out but in some of his recent games he has been has had some hic ups and this is actually the third time he’s allowed six unearned runs in a start this year and all three of them has resulted in Giants victories. He struggled on Sunday with six innings pitched eight hits, six runs, all earned, walked two and struck out two and the Giants won.
