On the MLB podcast with Matt, Xander Bogaerts continues to impress by swinging the big bats going four for five with a three run homer, four RBIs in an 8-1 win over the Minnesota Twins on Friday night. On Saturday against the Twins Bogaerts ripped four more hits and got a two run homer. Bogaerts is swinging like Ted Williams. Bogaerts was key in the win over the Giants last Tuesday.

The St Louis Cardinals pitcher Adam Wainwright helped out as a pinch hitter that led the Cards to a 9-3 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates it was Wainwright who started the six run rally in the 12th inning with a double.

The Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Clay Kershaw kept the Giants off balance on Friday with 13 strikeouts to pick up his ninth win of the season.  The Oakland A’s Sonny Gray didn’t have as much luck on the mound at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, Gray pitching a no hitter into the sixth inning lost it after the Reds Brandon Phillips singled and Adam Duvall hit a two run double to tie the game up. Gray later threw a wild pitch that allowed Duvall to score.
