On the MLB podcast the Giants catcher Buster Posey is predicted to have a great year and could be in the running for the league MVP. The Los Angeles Dodgers Adrian Gonzalez hit his second spring homer and the Dodgers Carlos Frias threw a four inning scoreless game to beat the Giants 13-0. The Dodgers could have a breakout season which they’ve waiting for. The Seattle Mariners Felix Hernandez had a great outing on Friday going six innings throwing shutout ball against the Chicago White Sox.
Cleveland is taking the extra steps and installing more netting to prevent fans from enduring balls and broken maple bat projectiles from coming into the stands at Progressive Field. This new adjustment should be in place when Cleveland gets back from spring training. In the AL West the Houston Astros have some top hitters in the AL and this team could finish at the top of the AL West with some of the offense that they have. Last season the Astros started out strong but faltered towards the end of the season.
