SAN FRANCISCO–The Major League Baseball Hispanic Museum is headed in the right direction as the Museum which was founded in 1998 is close to opening up a Museum site near AT&T Park in San Francisco. We’re very proud of the MLB Hispanic Heritage Museum. We have over 60 players and personalities of baseball inducted there.
We have traveled to 20 cities and up to 30 Major League towns with promotions, players autographs, artifacts, we’ve been to a bunch of fanfests with the Yankees, A’s, Royals with almost every Major League club. There are only ten teams we haven’t covered yet and we should be able to do that between now and next season.
More and more teams are going for netting to protect the fans from flying bats and balls: The Angels are considering adding three or four more feet to the backstop at Angels Stadium. Their going to have a big net there to protect the fans. The players are stronger and the bats are very light bats and when they break they look like daggers that come flying.
It’s a very dangerous situation for the fans in the stands who sit close by especially in park where their considered fan friendly like AT&T Park in San Francisco. The players are right on top of the action ironically the other Major League park is the opposite the Oakland Coliseum the fans are very far away from the plate if they lose a bat. At AT&T Park I can see that and Angels Stadium is not as close as AT&T.
