On the NCAA basketball podcast Michelle Richardson reviews the top games this past weekend. The North Carolina Tar Heels got some offensive help from Brice Johnson who had 18 points and a whopping 21 rebounds. Johnson served as a human vacuum just pulling off everything from the glass. The win by the Tar Heels over the Duke Blue Devils 76-72 gets UNC in a good position ranking in at number eight.
No 20 Texas A&M blasted Vanderbilt 76-67 to clinch for a number one seed in the SEC and their first conference championship in 30 years. “I’m just loss for words, it’s just overwhelming right now, all the adversity we faced during conference and all the hard work we put in during the summer. To win the conference championship feels great, and we’ve got to continue to build on this and get other championships as well” said the Aggies Jalen Jones.
Virginia puts an end to Louisville’s struggling season, with a decisive victory 68-46 over the Louisville Jay Hawks on Saturday. Virginia star Mike Tobey might have played his best game at VA who 15 points and 20 rebounds to finish his college career. For Tobey he just reached down into his inner basketball self and pulled out something that top players dream of doing.
