The Golden State Warriors once again proved their rightful spot atop the NBA, defeating the Oklahoma City Thunder for the second time in less than a week, 121-106 at Oracle Arena Thursday night.

It was the Warriors’ 44th consecutive home win, tying the record set by the 1995-1996 Chicago Bulls.

Stephen Curry led the way with 33 points while Klay Thompson poured in 21 points. Both Curry and Andre Iguodala returned the lineup after missing Tuesday’s game against the Hawks.

The Warriors trailed 83-82 heading into the fourth quarter, but scored the first six points of the final stanza to take the lead and never look back, opening up a double-digit lead with under four minutes to play. A three-pointer by Curry put the Warriors up 114-100 and sealed the victory.

The Thunder once again played the Warriors tight for much of the game. They were led by 32 points from Kevin Durant and 22 from Russell Westbrook.

The Warriors have now won seven straight. They face the Lakers on the road Sunday afternoon.
