Curry goes for 51 points in Warriors’ win over Magic

Stephen Curry drained 10 3-pointers en route to a 51-point performance as the Warriors beat the Magic 130-114 on the road.

Curry also finished his 128th consecutive game with a 3-point field goal, setting a NBA record.

The Warriors dropped 40 points in the third quarter to give themselves breathing room. Curry buried triple after triple, including a bank shot from half-court at the buzzer to give the Warriors a 99-91 lead heading into the fourth quarter.

Much like last night, the Warriors were locked in a tight battle in the first half as the Magic shot at a high percentage and were competitive with the defending champions.

Curry paced the Warriors with 22 points in the first half, but Golden State trailed 63-59 at halftime. The deficit meant nothing for Curry, who shined again and delivered his third 50-point performance of the season.

The defending MVP largely carried the load, as the next-highest scoring Warriors player was Marreese Speights, who had 14.

The Warriors wrap up their seven-game road trip against the Thunder on Saturday.
