A hot second half of shooting for Rosco Allen wasn’t enough to offset a torrid Colorado attack Wednesday, as the Buffaloes roared past Stanford 91-75 in Pac-12 men’s basketball at Coors Events Center in Boulder, Colo.

Allen scored 20 of his 25 points in the second half, Marcus Sheffield was next with 12 points and Marcus Allen had 10 for the Cardinal in their sixth straight loss to Colorado.

Allen’s 25 points matched a career high.

While the Buffs (16-5 overall, 5-3 Pac-12) hit 44 percent from the field in the first half, Stanford (11-8 overall, 4-4 Pac-12) was held to 1-of 10 from 3-point range and 10 of 34 field goals. The Cardinal never recovered, trailing by 18 with six minutes to go before halftime.

Colorado opened the second half with a torrid 3 ½ minute run that built their lead to 22 points in less than three minutes. The Buffs built a 23-point lead with 12:50 left.

A Sheffield 3-pointer pulled Stanford to within 64-54 with 9:34 remaining, but that was as close as the Cardinal would get.

Colorado shot 49 percent from the field in the game, including 13 of 19 3-pointers. The Buffaloes also held a 46-38 rebounding advantage.

Stanford travels to Utah for a 2 p.m. game Saturday against the Utes.
