OAKLAND–Oakland A’s fans have a deream.Today is Martin Luther King Jr Day, and it is officially a national holiday. It would definitely be a holiday for the Athletics fans if this project ever comes to fruition. The #1 location for a new Oakland A’s Ballpark is this below, the Jack London Square Location.
Although not as big for business around the park, like for example AT& T Park on the other side of the bay, there are businesses in that area and it is only a few minutes from downtown Oakland, and very accessible from the freeway, and not far from the 12th Street BART station. This is “the dream”for most Athletics fans and as it looks today there is no better location around Oakland that this one.
Will it happen? I do not think Nostradamus made a baseball prediction(he was French)but it doesn’t cost much to dream, some philosopher once said. Today the sports world in the United States of America honors Martin Luther King Jr. In my opinion the man that did more for the advancement of African-Americans in this country than anybody else, including all the US Presidents, all of them.
