The Kings took a strong push in the second quart to pull away after a high scoring first quarter that saw the both teams scoring 31 points. The Kings out scored the Rockets in that strong second quarter and took a seven point lead going into the half.
The Kings were lead by DeMarcus Cousins who scored 26 points. The Rockets were paced by James Harden’s 33 points but the Kings were too much for the visiting team this night.
The Kings were playing without suspended point guard Rajon Rondo who was suspended by the NBA for slurs against a referee and not leaving the court in a timely fashion after he was ejected.
The Kings head to Minnesota on the 18th to play the Timber-wolves, while the Rockets continue a west coast road swing by playing the Lakers in Los Angeles on Thursday night
