San Jose Sharks podcast with Mary Lisa Walsh: Panthers need more scorers than Jagr as they face Sharks Thursday

On the podcast today after losing game to Nashville and in Dallas the San Jose Sharks got hopping mad and wanted to turn it around did so quickly with a victory over Colorado on Sunday. The Sharks faced Columbus on Tuesday night. The Blue Jackets came into SAP with a 2-10 record and a new head coach John Tortorella. Tortorella has a reputation of firing up a club and for Columbus an organization it’s a well needed shot in the arm.

Tortorella had a reputation of sorts when he coached with the Vancouver Canucks and the New York Rangers as he had some not so great relationships with the media. Mary Lisa talks about that should be Tortorella’s prerogative if he doesn’t want to talk to the media.

Looking ahead the Sharks (6-5) will host the Florida Panthers (5-4-2) on Thursday night. The Panthers have top scorer Jaromir Jagr and assists leader Vincent Trocheck. Jagr who has six goals and ten points and shouldn’t be the one that the Panthers rely on every game to be there scorer. They should look for other stars every other night to make the difference.
