SACRAMENTO–The Kings tip off against the Los Angeles Clippers for the home opener at Sleep Train Arena on Wednesday night. It will be the last home opener at Sleep Train before the Kings next home opener at Golden One Center their new digs downtown in October 2016.

I have been fortunate enough during my working tenure in Sacramento to see the development of the arena it unbelievable. It’s very exciting and this time next year we’ll be talking about the opening night at the Golden One Center.

Opening night this week will be on Wednesday night and everything right now is sweetness of light. Everybody is ready to put the exhibition season and training camp behind them and get into the action of the regular season. On Wednesday night it will be the beginning of the end of Sleep Train Arena and the Kings will relive some of the great moments played there during the season.
