Stanford Cardinal podcast with Jerry Feitelberg: Cardinal setting all sorts of records and are ready to host a frustrated UCLA on Thu 15th

PALO ALTO–The Stanford Cardinal offense has got it going, Cardinal Quarterback Kevin Hogan said it best “in ground and pound” their running well on the ground and the offensive line the offensive line is pounding the defense lines into submission. The Cardinal they’ve scored on 570 yards of total offense.

They had 46 rushes in Saturday’s game against the Washington State Cougars for 14 yards for an astounding 6.8 yards per carry. That’s absolutely amazing and in the last three games they’ve rushed for 834 yards with an average of 5.8 yards per rush. You look at what the backs are doing Christian McCaffrey rushed 17 times for 156 yards.

Remound Wright running back came through with three scores and running back Barry Sanders came through in the second week in a row with a 65 yard touchdown run. The Cardinal have won four straight and are hosting the UCLA Bruins on Thursday the 15th. In the last three weeks the offense has scored 40 or more points. The Cardinal have not done that for a number of years.
