The NFC game between the Seattle Seahawks and the Green Bay Packers was a super game for the upcoming Super Bowl and the Packers took the lead early and it looked like they were going to run all over the Seahawks but the Seahawks are reigning champions and they came back in a terrific game in overtime and they won it 28-22.
On the other side the AFC game was very boring it was a showcase for Bay Area native Tom Brady quarterback of the New England Patriots whose hero was former 49ers quarterback Joe Montana. Brady will be going onto his sixth Super Bowl and that’s a record and it’s going to be a great, great, Super Bowl and this one is going to be one of the best with Russell Wilson quarterbacking for the Seahawks who has a terrific defense.
The Patriots with Brady handled the Indianapolis Colts with that impressive 45-7 win on Sunday, the Colts have a young team with quarterback Andrew Luck and it seemed just like yesterday when Luck was throwing for the Stanford Cardinal. You can’t blame big crowds and being in enemy territory the Colts have a lot to learn. They’re still a young team and they still have a young quarterback.
Luck just was riding into a hot team the Patriots and with Brady who is entering his eighth post season and going into his sixth Super Bowl and is one of the best ever. Brady is the ultimate leader and in the NFL it would be hard to find a player that typifies the word leader. Brady is one of those guys. The Colts will be back, they have a good head coach, great young players, a fantastic organization but they just ran into a team that was is used to getting into post season and are experienced. Your facing a quarterback (Brady) that’s a future hall of famer and thats what the Colts ran into.
The Super Bowl has transcends sports if it wasn’t on a Sunday it would be declared an American Holiday because on Super Bowl Sunday everything stops they’re expecting the highest TV ratings ever for this Super Bowl as everybody gets together and watches the game on TV and this game is in a neutral city Phoenix. A TV spot for a Super Bowl commercial runs $3 million and this represents a terrific sport which the whole country is fascinated with.
It’s not only the Super Bowl itself that six days before the game will turn Phoenix into a party town and you can see Phoenix by the way will be the spring training home of half of Major League Baseball just next month. Your talking about 15 MLB teams there and then you have the Super Bowl in Phoenix it’s going to be a terrific it’s going to be a boon for the town.
